We want to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for the wonderful experience Jerry and I had during our recent stay at your hotel in Peradeniya. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Your staff was incredibly attentive to our needs throughout our stay. The accommodation was comfortable, impeccably clean, providing us with a relaxing environment to unwined after our days of exploration. The culinary experience at your hotel exceeded our expectations. We especially enjoyed the traditional food like string hoppers, yellow rice and devilled chicken. Please extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in making our stay at the Springfields Hotel such a remarkable experience. We are already looking forward to our next visit to your beautiful hotel in Peradeniya

We were unable to keep our booking due to some technical issues but Manju went over and above expectations to find us somewhere else to stay that was comparable. His lines of communication are exceptional!

Visited the hotel with family arriving at lunchtime and leaving the next day mid day. We were 4 adults and my 9 year old son. The hotel is located high on a hill and which is accessed via a very steep road (though even tuk tuks can make it). The hotel is a new built building. There are about 8 air-conditioned rooms over three levels with accomodation also provided for drivers/guides. Has WiFi and Hot water. Clean new toilets. We took one of the three top most rooms. All rooms have a balcony and most with views of mountain ranges and hills, some close and others far afield. There is a common room on each level with a balcony benefiting with great views. The views are breathtaking. Both from the top most floor and the one below that there are views of multiple mountain ranges with cloud covered tops. Many birds and gangs of monkeys are about. I am told there are wild boar and deer which I did not see. The two chaps who work at the hotel are very friendly and always have a big smile. We asked them to cook different types of dishes/meals and it was all really tasty. Try the chutney/sambol they may with the chillies/scotch bonnet which are grown in their garden. For those who want a more a self catering approach, they don't mind the guest cooking their own food in their kitchen. I am told in the past some holidaying children had cooked pancakes for tea in the kitchen. Overall its a homely hotel, a pleasant and relaxing experience, good views of hills, tasty food and topped with amazing staff. Oh ya they do have WiFi

I visited Nelligala from 19-23 December ( incl.) 2019 . I found from Trip Advisor that The Spingfields Kandy is the best and closest hotel to Nelligala. My information was 100% correct as I experienced a lovely environment both inside and outside the Hotel. The surroundings were breathtakingly beautiful and the logistics inside the hotel were to my utmost satisfaction. The service staff was very caring and attentive . Food was very fresh and most of what were served were organic, which we felt. All in all we had a memorable stay at the hotel .I recommend to any potential traveler to Nelligala to select this hotel for your stay. You will love it just like we did.

Utterly fantastic! I wanted a memorable holiday for my wife and 3 daughters ( aged 5,3 and 9 Months) Took a real risk because we wanted to get away from tourist traps and noise and it truly paid off. Place is spotless every inch of the residence is kept surgically clean. Staff including owner are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble and done immediately and with a smile( a genuine one). We were treated as one of the family and my daughters absolutely loved the place. Views are out of this world. There are uninterrupted views right down the valley where you can see the sun rise at one end and fall at the other. We saw all kinds of wildlife including monkeys which would come right up to our balcony ( just out of curiosity), as well as regular visits from a variety of birds including an eagle. We were helped to sleep by gently sound of forest literally outside our bedroom. We chose to stay here on some days rather than go on a track because it was so lovely. We were helped however by the beautiful food morning afternoon and evening which I have to say was of superior quality to the bigger resort hotels. When I come back to Kandy this is were I’ll make a bee line for.
